The trail we invite you to explore together has its heart in the relation between the mountain and the human, the heritage of this agrosystem and the culture in the valleys of Polizzi Generosa: where the “Polizzi gardens” were once blooming and flurishing. We will start from Porto di Terra, association which has been working on the Madonie territory since 5 years and western knot of the Sicilian Permaculture Network. From Porto di Terra seat we will walk along a forest trail, reaching the “Piano Noce garden centre”, where endemic species, as Abies Nebrodensis, are reproduced. From there we’ll continue passing by a small lake and getting to an ancient straw house.
