Meet the giants

The trail we propose gives the possibility to get through a part of the Madonie National Park characterized by the presence of magnificent trees of remarkable dimensions and age. Creatures with a warped and woven presence, like the 800 years old downy oak which stands on the first part of the path.

In this trail, punctuated with Monumental Trees, a significant community is constituted by a giant hollies wood. 400 year old exeplars, more then 15 metres high, heritage of the last glaciation, pervaded by a silent magic atmosphere
